In-Person (On-site interpretation)
It is provided at a site determined by the Worker at an agreed date and time. This interpretation can be done in consecutive or simultaneous mode depending on the circumstances.
Group interpretation
Similar to In-Person interpretation. In Group interpretation, however, more than one client are present throughout the session (e.g. group activity – art & craft, information sessions, etc.). This interpretation can be done in consecutive or simultaneous mode depending on the circumstances.
Message Relay
It is provided when the requesting agency needs to communicate a brief message to a non-English speaking client or to retrieve some information from the client. The Language Interpreter contacts the client and makes the inquiry or delivers the information.
Conference-Telephone Interpreting
It is provided when the Agency, the Interpreter and a non-English speaking client need to engage in a conversation from remote locations at an agreed date and time
Sight translation
It is the conversion of written material in one language to an oral version in another language. It is often performed when an instant oral version of the written material is required (e.g. consent forms, registration forms, affidavit).
Official Document Translations
ELS is providing a registered translation for official documents (Passports, Birth Certificate, Driving license..etc.). The translation is recognized by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (CIC and IRCC). The documents will be stamped by the official approved seal.
